After a two-year hiatus, the Halifax Urban Folk Festival is back with authority. Halifax Urban Folk Festival or HUFF for short has added new venues, secured bigger acts and have rockstar sponsors ready to make this the best year ever. Luckily we have the low-down for everything you need to know.
What is HUFF?
Mike Campbell, the artistic director of the festival sums HUFF up best. “[HUFF] is a celebration of songs and the people who write them”. Spanning eight venues, 49 artists and six days, HUFF showcases premier folk acts to Haligonians and Nova Scotians alike. This year, the festival features The Skydiggers, Devin Cuddy, Rose Cousins, and Ron Hawkins, among others.
